Eric Eisenhauer (back right)
The oldest descendant still living on the farm, Eric has worked for his entire life in the woods and on the farm. He managed the farm into the early nineties when his daughter Brenda and son-in-law Brian Murray took over the day-to-day operations. Eric has a wealth of information and is a great help when an extra hand is required. He can still be seen at his garden in the summer months and working in the woodpile the rest of the year.

Brian Murray (back center)
Brian Murray, owner and operator of Blue Barn Farms, had a previous career as a Service Technician for the air, gas, electric power tools industry. With a career spanning 22 years, the last 15 with Makita Canada Dartmouth, Brian added some more to a full plate and took over farm operations at Blue Barn. Since 2001 he has been working on the farm and the other family business, Blue Barn Excavating. Brian's background has come in handy for repairing tractors, excavators, manure spreaders, and farm trucks – all part of the day to day life on a farm.

Brenda Murray (middle right)
Brenda has worked as a mainframe computer technician for the last 25 years. The previous 20 years have been with Maritime Life/Manulife/CGI. In the early years of taking over the farm, Brenda could be seen most nights working in the barn or feeding the animals. In 1999, the Murray family grew with the arrival of daughter Emma. Brenda still plays a large role in the farm operations.

Emma Murray (front center)
Emma is the next generation of the Blue Barn Farms family, and she appears to enjoy farm life in the city. She has her own calves she likes to feed as well as the barn cats. When the weather is too cold for her to personally keep tabs, she makes sure to tell her Dad how to look after the animals when she’s not there, and wants a report when he returns.

Jack Ross (middle left)(
Jack Ross was an employee in the early days of the Murray’s taking over the farm operations, and was a valued member of the Blue Barn Farms staff for several years. After taking a few years to pursue other interests, Jack is back at Blue Barn and helping to keep the farm running smoothly.

Bruce Paul (back left)
During the early part of 2006 Blue Barn Farms was looking for another employee to help with the growing business. Bruce has long list of job experiences and is a real asset to Blue Barn Farms/Excavating. Bruce is also a local resident that resides with his wife and family in Whitehills Subdivision.
